Admission Requirements
ASSOCIATE DEGREE PROGRAMMES
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- the general entrance requirements including General Requirements, English Language Requirement and Chinese Language/Alternative Language Requirement, AND
- programme specific entrance requirements, if any (please refer to individual programme description), OR
- other qualifications requirements, OR
- be mature applicants of age 23 or above
General Entrance Requirements

The grades indicated above represent the minimum requirements. Please note that possession of the qualifications does not guarantee acceptance.
Other Qualifications Requirement
- Other qualifications may include an academic qualification from a local post-secondary institution or a professional qualification acceptable to the University, OR
- Qualifications attained by study at a local international school, or a non-local high school, at Grade 12 or equivalent, OR
- A Pre-AD qualification
Applicants whose entrance qualification is obtained in a language other than English will need an acceptable result in an approved English language qualification such as TOEFL, IELTS, or the NEAB University Entrance Test in English for Speakers of Other Languages.
Mature Applicants
Applicants who do not satisfy the “General Entrance Requirements” or "Other Qualifications Requirement" are eligible to apply for Mature Student status if they are of age 23 or above by 1 September of the year of admission and can demonstrate aptitude and suitability for the programme applied for.
PRE-ASSOCIATE DEGREE PROGRAMME
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- For applicants using current HKCEE results, 5 passes in the HKCEE (including Level 2 or above in Chinese & English or equivalent; and Grade E or above in any other 3 subjects); or
- For applicants using HKCEE results obtained in 2006 or before, 5 passes in the HKCEE (including Chinese and English or equivalent); or
- be graduates of Project Yi Jin; or
- be mature applicants of age 21 or above.
