Aims and Objectives
The Associate Degree Programmes are designed to provide students with:
- (a.) domain-specific knowledge and skills; and
- (b.) general education (GE) and generic skills (GS). These courses (or components of courses) develop students’ understanding of socio-political, cultural, and economic issues and their interpersonal communication and language skills, quantitative and analytical skills, IT skills and their ability to learn how to learn.
Students are thus prepared for further studies and/or entry to the job market as associate professionals, and equipped with the knowledge and skills for lifelong learning and whole person development.

Form 7 graduates and mature students
Programme Structure
The AD Programmes normally consist of 60 credit units. Each academic year consists of Semester A, Semester B and Summer semester for some programmes.
Mode of Study
There are three modes of study for Associate Degree Programmes:
- Two-year Full-time
- Three-year Part-time
- On-Line
Tuition Fee
Self-financing Programme
All Full-time Associate Degree students are expected to take 15 credits per semester at HK$1,500 per credit (except fieldwork placement for Associate of Social Science in Social Work which is HK$1,800 per credit). Fees for certain online programmes are at HK$1,200 per credit. Approximate fees for two semesters are about HK$45,000.
Government Funded
- Full-time: HK$31,575 per annum
- Part-time:HK$15,788 per annum
