This course aims to provide an overview of the processes responsible for learning. It is designed to enhance students’ abilities to understand and appreciate the two classic learning theories --- classical conditioning and operant conditioning. By the end of the course, students should be able to use these learning theories and their empirical evidence to analyse human behaviour scientifically, and identify the ethical issues in animal research.
