Course Aims

This module aims to enable students to understand engineering management concepts and the major managerial processes, as well as to equip students with the basic knowledge and skills in engineering management aspect and their future career as engineering managers. More specifically, it is to:

  • Equip students with knowledge and concepts on engineering management theories and principles;
  • Enable students to apply the skills in planning and controlling the issues in engineering/manufacturing enterprises;
  • Enable students to assess the environmental factors which may affect the operational effectiveness and efficiency of the engineering/manufacturing organizations; and
  • Equip the students with practical skills in applying acquired knowledge to formulate and solve engineering management problems.
