Course Aims | ||||||||||
This course aims to provide students with basic knowledge of transport policy and the environment as well as strengthen their understanding and appreciation of how transport policy is formulated and how it interacts with its system environment: the social, economic and natural environment. It also examines the key issues associated with the formulation of urban transport policies using Hong Kong as a case example; and explores roles of the government in transport and social exclusion, regulation, financing, sustainable transport development and regional transport integration. | ||||||||||
