Course Aims

Nowadays, businesses highly rely on big data analytics to make informed decision in this ever-changing business world. Due to the differences in background, customer bases and employees of companies, it is critical for them to conduct data-driven decision making and customize business strategies so as to excel to the top of the market. Business intelligence and big data analytics are the methodology for a company to keep track of its data, and make use of the big data to create business values.

This course is an advanced version of Business Intelligence and Analytics course. On completion of this course, students will be able to apply advanced business intelligence and analytics concepts and technologies in text mining and text visualization for business decision making.  Students will be able to solve complicated business problems with impacts on the corporate strategy, performance, and competitiveness.
