Course Aims

  • The course seeks to provide an understanding of contemporary web applications that enhance the possibilities for social interaction, exchange of information and content creation, and the use of these applications for business benefit.
  • We explore how software that originally emerged to enable private people to connect, interact, share ideas, and socialize, has been adopted by business and other organizations to structure and execute work, solve problems, and generate business opportunities.
  • In doing so, we explore the technologies themselves, applications, management, and success and failure factor.
