Course Aims

This course aims to provide basic knowledge about the influence of Chinese culture on ancient East Asia, and the ways in which these East Asian cultures in their turn influenced and impacted on Chinese culture. It will also allow students to gain a better understanding of the impact of Japanese culture on China in the modern age. Through this course, students will be able to enhance their Japanese language study with input from the cultural sphere.
