This course aims to illustrate the important interactions between China and the rest of the world during the course of its economic development. In particular, this course emphasizes not only the important of regionalism; but also the external relations between China and other countries in mapping its economic development planning, such as the Sino-US relations. Students will learn the development of Chinese reform and the inter-dependence between China and the global capitalism. Students are encouraged to utilize the knowledge and theories learned in this class to apply to current external relations between China and other countries.
