About us

The Division of Building Science and Technology offers three government-funded Associate Degree programmes; namely, Building Services Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management and Surveying. These programmes consist of over 800 students.

For meeting industrial needs and articulation purposes, these programmes provide a quality comprehensive and well-balanced education for students through professionally oriented curriculum integrated with broad-based knowledge and generic, transferable skills for life-long learning. The associate degree awards are well recognized by the relevant professional institutions.

The Division comprises a team of well-qualified, dedicated, multi-disciplinary academic staff as well as a team of part-time lecturers. The Design Studios, Computer Studios, Project Studios and Learning Resources Centre within the Division are equipped with the state-of-the-art hardware, software and other learning recourses and facilities which provide a stimulating environment for maximizing students' learning.

Our Educational Framework

We are committed to provide quality higher vocational education for our students to meet the changing needs of industry and to enhance their lifelong learning skills. Building on the University's general policies and practices, the Division has developed our educational framework to deliver teaching and learning excellence. We place a strong emphasis on maximizing students' learning through both in-class and out-of-class activities.
