Scholar Supervised by Prof. Yu Huang Received Best Oral Presentation Award at Hong Kong Scholars Annual Symposium

Dr Min Yi received the Best Oral Presentation Award at the Hong Kong Scholars Annual Symposium (香江學者計劃週年學術交流會) which was held on 18 June 2022.

Dr Yi is currently the Hong Kong Scholar under the supervision of Professor Yu Huang in the Department of Biomedical Sciences, CityU. She presented the research paper “Disulfiram inhibits Yap-induced gasdermin D activation during atherogenesis” at the Symposium.

The “Hong Kong Scholars Program (香江學者計劃)” is jointly launched by the Society of Hong Kong Scholars and the China National Postdoctoral Council under the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security. It aims at pooling talent and research resources of Hong Kong and the Mainland to train outstanding postdoctoral fellows. Selected “Hong Kong Scholars”, i.e. the postdoctoral fellows, will come to Hong Kong to commence postdoctoral research work under professors at various universities in Hong Kong.
