1. In what ways can I support CityU?

Alumni may contribute to student and university growth through serving on alumni organisations, providing mentorship support and job/internship opportunities to students and alumni, offering product or service benefits for alumni, etc. To support by making donation, please visit CityU Alumni Giving Club to find out more.

Become a CityU Credit Card holder to support university development as part of the total spending from the Principal and Supplementary Cards will be donated to CityU for support of campus enhancement projects and student activities. To learn more, please click here.

2. How can I update my contact information?

You can update your contact information through online form or by email (aro@cityu.edu.hk).

Please provide the following information in the email for alumni identity verification:

  • Full name in English
  • Student number or the first 3 digits of HKID

3. What are the benefits of keeping my contact information up to date?

Receive latest CityU news, activities and alumni benefits through alumni e-newsletter AlumExpress and the annual alumni magazine City AlumNet.

4. How to submit news to “Class Notes” in alumni magazine City AlumNet?

Share with fellow alumni your latest news, be it personal or professional achievements or anything else of note! Simply fill out the online form or email to aro@cityu.edu.hk by 30 September of each year.

5. What is AIMS? How can I log in to it?

AIMS stands for Administrative Information Management System at CityU. Alumni can access AIMS to update personal data, apply for transcript/alumni library card etc. You can login to AIMS here.

6. How can I reset my password?

You can reset password here. Your new password will be activated within 10 minutes.

7. I was unable to reset my password for AIMS / Wi-Fi / Office 365 email account. What can I do?

Firstly, make sure the telephone number required of you when you reset the password is the same as the one registered in AIMS. If you encountered other problems in passing the verification during password reset, please contact Alumni Relations Office (ARO) by phone (3442 6075) or by email (aro@cityu.edu.hk).

8. What is EID?

EID is a unique ID in alpha-numeric format assigned to users provided by the University to access platforms such as AIMS.

9. What is Office 365 email account?

Office 365 email service is offered free of charge to all CityU alumni for personal and non-commercial use. Alumni can have an email account with the domain name, @my.cityu.edu.hk, preceded by EID-c. You can create an email alias and forwarding function in the account. Each email account is given 50GB of storage space. More information about CityU Office 365 email account is also available here.

For graduates of year 2001 and onwards, no registration is required. You can login to your alumni email account assigned upon graduation. For graduates before 2001, please register for your free email account here.

10. How can I apply for the CityU Credit Card?

CityU Credit Card for alumni is an affinity card offered by CityU and Hang Seng Bank. Part of the total spending from the Principal and Supplementary Cards will be donated to CityU for support of campus enhancement projects and student activities. To learn more, please click here.

11. How can I use Wi-Fi on campus?

You can use your own Wi-Fi enabled device(s) to access the wireless network (SSID) "alumni". The login name is your EID. If you do not know your password, you can reset your CityU network connection password here. Detailed settings for different devices can be found here.

12. What kind of benefits and services could CityU alumni enjoy? Can alumni use campus facilities?

13. Access to library resources

15. Use of car parking facilities on CityU campus

CityU Credit Card holders can enjoy a parking fee discount at HK$10/hour (fee for non CityU Credit Card users is $20/hour) during off-peak hours (Mon-Fri: 1700 – 2330; Sat, Sun and public holidays: 0700 – 2330).

Please email the copy of DEED POLL (2 pages) and HKID to aro@cityu.edu.hk for further processing. No administrative fee will be charged. We will update the record within 2 weeks.
