WORKSHOP INFORMATION
 
The workshop will be held in Hong Kong, China, December 1- 3, 2012. The objective of this annual series of workshops is to enhance the dialogue between theoretical physicists and chemists. The workshop this year will focus on “Electrons, spins, phonons and photons in two-dimensional systems” and related topics. There will be 20-24 invited speakers presenting their recent work during the three-day workshop. There will be a Laptop Poster Session (see Workshop Program) for Ph.D students and postdocs.

**The workshop also offers opportunities for young scholars to present their work in the form of laptop posters. The laptop poster is a presentation on the presenter’s own laptop computer. The laptop poster consists of any number of slides. The presenter will have the chance to first give a five-minute introductory oral presentation before starting the laptop poster session.
