Duties

Be an active researcher, dedicated to university teaching and supervision of students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including Bachelor's, Master's and PhD degrees; and undertake administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements

A PhD in related disciplines, with teaching experience and a strong research record or demonstrated research potential in the field of Comparative Politics of East Asia, preferably Northeast Asia (Southeast Asia-focused candidates will also be favourably considered). Candidates with teaching and research expertise in one or more of the areas relating to their countries, namely domestic politics, political-economy and state-society relations, are preferred.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be driven by market competitiveness and individual performance. Excellent fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and relocation assistance (where applicable). Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract.
