Mode of Programme

Undergraduate Programmes

Full-time mode: Students must register for courses to a total of at least twelve credit units, and for not more than eighteen credit units in each semester (except for Summer Term).

Part-time mode: Students may register for courses to a total of no more than eleven credit units in each semester (except for Summer term).

For undergraduate programmes, student visas will be issued for full-time study only.

 

Professional Doctorate and Taught Postgraduate

Full-time mode: Students must register for courses to a total of at least twelve credit units, and for not more than eighteen credit units in each semester (except for Summer Term).

Part-time mode: Students may register for courses to a total of no more than eleven credit units in each semester (except for Summer term).

Combined mode: Local students taking programmes in combined mode can attend full-time or part-time study in each semester (except for Summer term) without seeking approval from the University. For non-local students, they will be admitted to these programmes for either full-time or part-time studies. Non-local students must maintain the required credit load for their full-time or part-time studies and any changes will require approval from the University.

 

Research Degree Programmes

For research degree programmes, the mode of programme is determined by the duration of study. For details, please refer to Chow Yei Ching School of Graduate Studies.

Student visas will be issued for full-time study only.
