Mode of
Programme
Undergraduate Programmes
Full-time
mode: Students must register for courses to a total
of at least twelve credit units, and for not more than
eighteen credit units in each semester (except for Summer
Term).
Part-time mode:
Students may register for courses to a total of no
more than eleven credit units in each semester (except for
Summer term).
For undergraduate programmes, student visas
will be issued for full-time study only.
Professional Doctorate and Taught
Postgraduate
Full-time
mode: Students must register for courses to a total
of at least twelve credit units, and for not more than
eighteen credit units in each semester (except for Summer
Term).
Part-time mode: Students may register for courses to a total of no
more than eleven credit units in each semester (except for
Summer term).
Combined mode: Local students taking programmes in combined mode can
attend full-time or part-time study in each semester (except
for Summer term) without seeking approval from the University.
For non-local students, they will be admitted to these
programmes for either full-time or part-time studies.
Non-local students must maintain the required credit load for
their full-time or part-time studies and any changes will
require approval from the University.
Research Degree Programmes
For research degree programmes,
the mode of programme is determined by the duration of study.
