CityU-Net for CityU Alumni FAQ

Since the recent changes on the remote dial-up service, some common problems have been reported in using the CityU-Net service. If you have encountered similar problems, following are the solutions.
(Windows 95/98 is the assumed dialing environment.)

Question 1 & Solution
Dialing and connection are successful, a connection window with a duration counter pops up. However, no applications such as Netscape can be used. There are error messages like "Netscape was unable to create a network socket connection", or "Error getting network address".
